It’s been about 48 hours of Wii successor rumors, and there are many more to come. With that in mind, let’s spend some time enjoying the platforms Nintendo has out there right now! Spend some time gaming this weekend, be it with your Wii/DS/3DS. I know I’ll be doing just that, and I hope you do as well! See you in a few, short hours.

The last two days have been nothing but talk about these Wii successor rumors. While I love portables just as much as consoles, there’s no denying that the majority of the gaming crowd gets more fired up for the platforms they can connect to their TV. There’s just something extra exciting about plugging that brand-new system into your TV, in front of all your family and friends. It’s a moment that only comes around once every few years!

That might be why I’m having a major case of Déjà vu right now. If you’ve been a GoNintendo reader since day one (before we were called GoNintendo!), you’ll no doubt remember the days when we were talking about the Revolution. There were months upon months of speculation concerning every aspect of what would turn out to be the Wii. When we first got to see what the system’s controller looked like, it was an absolutely surreal moment. When I saw the first picture, I thought it was a fake! Now we’re going to be experiencing all those things once again, but this time through Project Cafe.

In just two days of speculation, we’ve amassed a ton of rumored information. There are details coming from every corner of the net, and you can bet that things are only going to get more confusing as we roll on. There will be legitimate info leaked, fakers trying to play off their jokes as the real deal, and a mix of in-between content. The rumors will be plentiful. the salt will be taken in canisters instead of grains, and the details will become to astronomical to keep count of. While I dislike misinformation as much as the next guy, I have to admit that it’s kind of fun to sift through all the content. It’s always interesting to see what comes out being true and what was bunk.

I have to say, I’m very, very happy to have you guys with me on the site. I can’t wait to bring you all the content we can find. We’ll also be discussing every bit we stumble upon on our podcast as well. These are times that really bring the Nintendo community together, and we all get a sparkle in our eyes that’s hard to shake. Even though there are going to be longer work days ahead covering all these rumored details, I’m more ready than ever to take it on.

Thanks to all you guys for your help with the Wii successor rumors thus far. I really do appreciate all your support. Like I said, this kind of coverage is reminding me of the good-old days, and I absolutely love that we’re all in this together. Your support of GoNintendo has been great enough to carry me through to the release of another Nintendo console, which is much longer than I thought the site would last! It’s been an amazing ride covering Nintendo thus far, and now the cycle begins again!

We’ll have the positive comments, the bashing from the close-minded gamers, and a lot of other stuff to discuss. Hell, we’ve already seen some negative thinking/bashing from IGN, but that’s the way the internet goes. Just know that you’ll always have a home in GoNintendo where you can feel free to share any/all your thoughts about the Big N. Here’s to Nintendo’s future, gang! I’m ready to take it on!
