GoNintendo 'End of Day' thought - Nintendo investor meeting info

Man, my eyes are having a tough time staying open. It’s definitely time for me to get some rest. Hopefully some English translations/confirmations from the Nintendo investor meeting pop up while I’m getting my beauty sleep. I guess we’ll all find out at the same time! See you in a few, short hours.

I stayed up later than usual to see what was up with Nintendo’s investor meeting, but it doesn’t seem like there was much of anything going on. If the information that we’ve read thus far is the real deal, it seems that Nintendo is going to hold their cards on the Wii successor very close until E3. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Big N keep absolutely silent on the system until we get that E3 unveiling. Hell, we’re still waiting for Nintendo to confirm the date/time of their E3 press event! Wouldn’t it be nice to have a specific date to look forward to?

The amount of information that is coming from this event could very well change in a few hours. I’m sure Nintendo is going to post up their English translation/webcast of the Japanese event. It’s always nice to get a word-for-word translation of the event, because Iwata’s comments always have more to them than what we get from quick translations. On top of that, get ready for a bunch of sales slides and graphs, which may or may not interest you.

As I’ve said, the information in the post below may not be spot-on, but we won’t know that until the official translations come through. As the post says, take the information as unconfirmed for right now. There’s nothing truly earth-shattering in there, but the talk of Excitebike 3D being free is pretty exciting. Also surprising to see the Wii Vitality Sensor still kicking. I’ll believe all this when I see the Big N post it up on their official financial page.

I’ll try to get a bit earlier than usual to see if any information has popped up. Last night, the Wii successor confirmation managed to pop up just a few minutes after I went to bed. Who knows what’ll make an appearance as I call it a night tonight!
