GN Version 3.1

The following information comes from Matsuno and Hino…

- Matsuno felt the appeal of Level-5
- he also felt a common vision with CEO Akihiro Hin
- Matsuno has a great impression of the Layton and Inazuma Eleven serie
- his nieces and nephews and his friends’ kids won’t play his games
- his family is always playing Level-5
- Hino says Matsuno minds the details and is a “creator amongst creators.”
- Hino believes bringing Matsuno on board would allow them to do things they couldn’t do before
- Hino wants Matsuno to do whatever he pleases, work on something new and bring his Matsuno style
- This makes Matsuno quite happy, especially in a time when new game ideas aren’t usually accepted
- Matsuno’s illustrations were shown to the Famitsu staff that conducted this interview, and their details of the illustrations are below

One illustration shows a helmeted knight holding a large shield. There’s also an illustration showing what looks like a unit with a rapier, a unit with an axe, a unit that looks like a sorcerer, and a unit that looks like an archer

- these illustrations come from Hideo Minaba and Yuka Miyamoto
- this game idea is one that Matsuno has had for 10 years now
- it’s not an extension of an existing brand
- he expects that the game will be enjoyed not just by Matsuno’s fans, but by Matsuno’s nieces and nephews
- hoping the game will be played by children
- may not have the epic style of previous Matsuno games
- won’t spend two years for the game’s production
- this should be a quick, compact project
- Hino wants Matsuno to work on something new rather than revisit what he’s done on the past
- Matsuno likens this development to when he was working on Ogre Battle on the Super Famciom
