Revmote port changes?

Reader PolyTicks has pointed out that the port on the front of the Revmote has changed to a more circular shape in the Red Steel screens. A comparison picture has popped up on an IGN blog, the same picture you see above. I wonder why the reason for the change, any guesses guys?
