Nintendo hints at Wii capable of DVD, CD playback (didn't we know this already?)
I have received a number of emails about this today. I wasn’t going to post it, but it seems that a lot of people are hearing this info for the first time. We covered this a long time ago, but here’s a refresher. Nintendo does have plans to make another version of the Wii, and their Q&A session on their official site gives some insight as to what they plan to do.
Q: Can the Wii console playback music CDs and DVDs?
A: The Wii console released in the end of 2006 does not have the feature to playback music CDs or DVDs.
With the Wii doing so well, I really don’t think Nintendo will be releasing something like this very soon. Thanks to everyone that sent this in!
