According to a statement made by Reggie Fils-Aime at the media briefing, and reaffirmed by Nintendo sources today when we checked, Twilight Princess will only be coming out on Nintendo GameCube in North America, not in other regions.

I wondered why nobody had brougth this up until now, but I guess people were just too caught up in E3 to catch it. But when we inquired today, the statement was the same as Reggie’s remark “A GCN version, in addition to a Wii version of Twilight Princess, will be released here in the Americas”. NOE and NCL have not responded to our inquiries. So it seems that the GCN version is a limited quantity, limited time thing to appease the core market in North America, and that the main focus of Nintendo on the general world market is to convert people to Wii with Twilight Princess.

I will have to email our Nintendo rep to find out what the story is with this. If this is true, there are going to be a lot of angry Cube owners.
