The beginning of this story sounds like a dirty drug deal. Two men met up in a parking lot to exchange $250 for a Wii. The transaction was completed, and the two men went their separate ways. When the man that purchased the Wii got home to check it out, the system didn’t work. Furthermore, the address that the man was given by the seller turned out to be a fake. Lucky for the Wii purchaser, his wife jotted down the seller’s license plate number.

With a call to the cops, the hunt was on. They asked for the serial number on the Wii, and noted that it was stolen just a couple months ago. The cops eventually found out where the man lived, and the police made their way to his house. When at the house, a deputy rang the doorbell, to which the man’s girlfriend answered. She claimed that the crook wasn’t home, but the deputy asked if he could search the house anyway. For some reason the girlfriend said yes, and the man was found hiding in a closet.

It turns out that this man didn’t steal the Wii, but he did try to pawn it off on someone, knowing that it was a dud. Now he sits in jail, and his bail is set at $20,000.
