(Discussing DOA Extreme Beach Volleyball 2)

Kikizo: So can you tell us about some of the gameplay we have in Xtreme 2? We saw Jet Ski and water chute races in the trailer.

Itagaki: I am working on the Jet Ski part of it very seriously, because I like Jet Ski games. There are two types of gameplay with the Jet Ski. One is the racing, where you compete on the difference of one hundredth of a second. And the others are more about riding the waves with good style.

Kikizo: Which such games have you enjoyed and have inspired these parts of Xtreme 2?

Itagaki: Wave Race on N64, unquestionably. I am really good at that, I am probably better at that than DOA. Seriously.

Kikizo: Are you interested in Wii, is it something you are interested in making games for?

Itagaki: Yes, of course I want to make games for Wii, it’s just that if I change my way of doing things, it’s going to be physically difficult because I tend to focus on one project at a time, but personally I like to play the type of games that are being made for Wii. Of course we have another producer, Kikuchi, who is working on a golfing game for Wii, so I give advice and try to work with him as much as possible.

Time to change it up Itagaki! Bring us Ninja Gaiden for the Wii, or perhaps a new IP altogether!
