Bandai-Namco is bringing a brand new puzzle game to the DS called Torionkiyubu. The name just rolls off the tongue doesn’t it! Don’t let the title scare you away, this is one hell of a fun puzzle game. The reason I know is because there is a flash demo of the game! Bandai-Namco opened up a website dedicated to Torionkiyubu where you can play a demo of the game. After figuring out what was going on, the game had me hooked.

Basically you have to create a 3 x 3 block of puzzle pieces to start a chain, each piece you connect that that 3 x 3 block after that keeps the chain going. Once you lay a puzzle piece that isn’t connected to the mass of chained blocks you have been building, it breaks the chain and you collect points. The objective is to keep your chain going for as long as possible. The reason you are doing this is to try an advance your spaceship towards it’s final goal. That’s right, you are fueling a spaceship with puzzle blocks. The longer the chain continues, the faster the ship flies towards it’s goal. When the chain breaks the ship slows down.

Check out a few screens below, and then click the link to play a flash demo of the game. Trust me, if you are into puzzle games, you really have to give this demo a try.
