Dear Reader:
Surprise! GoNintendo launches two new websites - GoingSony.com, and GoneMicrosoft.com! (bumped to the front page once)
No, I will not be bumping this to the front page every time I update. I just wanted to give the story one more chance on the front page for today. I’ll be including tiny reminders in front page posts from here out.
GOnintendo, GOINGsony, GONEmicrosoft…get it!?
I told you guys we had one more surprise up our sleeves! I am going to try to make this as quick and painless as possible. I could go on and on about these two sites, but I will get right down to the nitty-gritty.
- I (RawmeatCowboy, or Kevin Cassidy if you prefer) will not be leaving GoNintendo to work on GoingSony or GoneMicrosoft. While I do own the other sites, I will not be doing regular posting duties. My coverage is still 100% GoNintendo focused…nothing changes here.
- GoneMicrosoft and GoingSony are being staffed by some people you know, and some you don’t. I will give you a quick rundown of the staff.
Vitamin G (Greg Townsend) - one of our podcast members
Deux Michaels (Andrew Kormondy) - one of our podcast members
Doug Kaplan (Link on GoNintendo staff) - he’s back, and he’ll be working for a sister site now
Micah Seff - ex-IGN employee that has joined up with us
Tyrone Rodriguez (Exhaustnote) - this guy has done everything you can do in the gaming industry. He’s taking on a sister site as well.

- This is new staff we are dealing with. Here at GoNintendo, you are used to myself and Bethany doing all the updates. At the two new sites, we will have other staffers doing the work. Things may start out at a slower pace than you are used to from GN, but we are working to provide the same type of coverage on GM and GS that we do here.
- Yes, there are tips email addresses! You can check those out on the Contact Us buttons of the new sites
- We can’t do this without your support! If you are at all interested in the gaming worlds of Sony or Microsoft, please bookmark these sites and visit frequently!
- The messageboards for all three sites will be linked together. You will have your separate boards for each company, but you will also have access to all the other platforms. Cort is working on themes for each site as well. That means, when you click over from GoingSony, you will see a GoingSony messageboard theme. For now, everyone will see the GoNintendo theme.
Well, I think that about covers it! I am staying with GoNintendo full-time…that will never change. I may make a few guest editorials or posts at the new sites, but I am still 100% GoNintendo. All day every day, just how it’s been for years now! New staffers have content control over at the new sites. Editorials, reviews, and all news is up to them. Hopefully, between all three sites, you’ll be able to get all the gaming news you can stand!
Oh, by the way…all the sites are being worked on now! Both sites are loaded with news, and more will be coming in every day from here on out. Make sure to sign up for comments, and leave some love at the new sites!
