The new work schedule finally kicks off! This is the way things will be from here on out, as long as my body allows it! I will be catching you bright-and-early at 9:00 AM EST, Monday through Friday. As I mentioned last week, I am keeping the old schedule for weekends. All this means for you is, the news flow starts earlier here! Letting things go until 12:30 PM EST just didn’t seem right anymore. This should make the work load better for me, and the news flow better for you! I’ll catch you guys in a few hours.

Well, I decided to take the plunge. I have all this fancy equipment (not really fancy, but mind-boggling for a country bumpkin like myself) to do direct feed footage, so why not do a video review for one of the biggest games of the year? I did a mock video review awhile back for Chronos Twin, but this if the first ‘real-deal’ video review. Man, it was a lot tougher than I thought. If you could have only seen me at the computer going over, and over, and over lines.

The end result? I’d have to say that I am okay with the way it turned out. For a first time video review, I guess I should be happy. Now that I’ve put it all together, I can hear a lot of screw-ups, and of course, now I think I could do it much better. There are more things I could have talked about, but it’s hard to fit that all in without turning the video review into a half-hour TV show. Also, I need to work on volume levels…but things should sound a lot better than our podcast, at least! Take it for what it is, and know that our video reviews will get better…hopefully!

One last note…I’ve decided to drop the ‘Good, Bad, and Ugly’ review style. From here on out, I’ll be using the ‘Really Great, Tolerate, Pure Hate’ review classes. It seems that those three terms do a better job of defining what I really liked, what was okay, and what didn’t cut it. No worries though, I still give a review score at the end as well.
