Animal Crossing Wii - game of the year?

Just how popular is Animal Crossing? The sales of the DS title prove that there are a lot of people eager to move into a town full of talking animals. Who would have thought that making clothes, cleaning your house, buying furniture, and doing odd-jobs would be so popular?! Leave it to Nintendo to make us play real life.

Animal Crossing Wii is coming…when, we don’t know. It might come out late this year, or early next. It doesn’t really matter though, fans have been talking about the next entry in the series for a long time now. With such a big following, could Nintendo bring us an Animal Crossing that delivers on all of our hopes? Will Animal Crossing Wii be able to stand alongside the bigger, more violent titles that should grace various Game of the Year lists? If Super Mario Galaxy can do that, I am sure that another Nintendo staple has a chance.
