I have been waiting forever for this game to find a publisher. It perfectly uses the DS’ two screens for a very unique gameplay idea. Rather then listen to me go on and on about the title, why don’t you read the press release and check out some screens!

New powerhouse publisher Lexicon Entertainment today announced that it has acquired the worldwide rights for ‘Chronos Twins’ for Nintendo DS. After recently announcing American McGee’s ‘Bad Day: LA’ for Europe, Lexicon have moved swiftly into the DS market and are in final discussions for another 4 DS products which they are hoping will catapult them into a major player within the market.

Scheduled for a Q1 2007 release at £24.99 ‘Chronos Twins’ plays on the concept of time travel in a reassuringly unique manner as it is interwoven as a main game play element. To successfully complete levels, players will maneuver through an area and work within the limitations of each time period in a side-scrolling environment. The goal is to control both the present-time hero while exploring the planet to defeat alien threats. Both time periods are fully visible through a split-screen engine that displays the past and present versions of the exact same location.

With complete original IP, Chronos Twins offers the gamer something that no other product has and with a Q1 release date Lexicon is confident that the product will be a big success.

“To publish Chronos Twins worldwide is a massive coup for us “said Emily Booty, Sales and Marketing Director for Lexicon “we have promised what we said in delivering quality products and with Bad Day: LA and now Chronos Twins we are moving in the right direction. We are speaking with a variety of partners with regards to distribution in all territories and we hope to have this tied up soon, we are willing to listen to offers from a variety of companies worldwide’

”We are delighted that Chronos Twins will be published worldwide by Lexicon” added Julio Moruno Fernandez from developer EnjoyUP “Lexicon have acted in a first class manner throughout discussions and we are excited about the release”
