Next main entry in the Tales series to be on Wii, Tales of Hearts to feature both CG and anime

A bunch of information has come out concerning the Tales series. It seems like Bandai-Namco is really pushing the hell out of Tales games. I guess they are trying to raise awareness of the series, and get more word-of-mouth going.

First off, it was announced that the next main entry in the Tales series will indeed see release on Wii. No specifics were given for the game, but whenever it does come out (expected sometime in 2009), we can expect it to launch on Wii.

Also, Tales of Hearts will be a pretty interesting game. From the scans/website, we’ve seen a collection of 2d anime art, and 3d CG art. According to Bandai-Namco, it seems that you will be able to view the game’s cutscenes based on your preference. If you like the 2d animated art, you can watch that. If you want to view the CG cutscenes, that’s an option as well. It is unclear whether both video options will be in one game, or if there will be two retail versions.
