Why bother with all those sales numbers, install-base figures, or any other amount of factual data when you can just look at what’s going on in your own home! CNBC reporter Jane Wells is calling Sony the console war winner…because her son traded in his 360 for a PS3.

Furthermore, quite a few people called our Mrs. Wells on her comments, stating that she didn’t actually use any facts. She whips out the latest NPD figures from Sony, that show that the PS3 outsold the 360. Hmmm…it’s almost as if Wells is forgetting something…like that company that currently has the console with the biggest worldwide install base.

Hmmmm…maybe Wells works for Microsoft. We all know that they don’t count the Wii as a next-gen console…due to a lack of HD support. It all makes sense to me! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to put hat on my feet, and travel to a magical land where hamburgers eat people.
