What Nintendo's Rift with the Hardcore Means for the Industry

Nintendo is definitely doing things a lot differently than the rest of the industry. I think it’s safe to say that it’s working out for them. Bucketloads of money don’t pour into Nintendo’s offices by pure luck. They are doing something that is really striking a chord with all sorts of gamers, new and old alike. Okay…well, some of the older, hardcore crowd is none too pleased with the Big N. Nintendo is aware of this anger, and they’ve issued a few statements because of it. Just what does this hatred mean for the industry as a whole?
