Pok'�©mon Announces Video Game Showdown Finalists

Over the past two weeks, more than 1,000 Pokémon fans converged in Los Angeles and New York, for the chance to become the ultimate Pokémon Video Game Champion.

The two qualifying rounds of the first-ever Pokémon Video Game Showdown hosted video game players of all ages (as young as 6 to 43) who traveled from across the nation to compete head-to-head using Pokémon Diamond or Pokémon Pearl for the Nintendo DS.

After two days of feverish competition, 32 players emerged victorious and were awarded a paid trip for two to Orlando, FL where they will compete against the 32 most-skilled players from
Japan in the Pokémon Video Game Showdown. Additionally, the top two players from each division won a Nintendo Wii prize package. Split across two age divisions, the U.S. finalists are:
