Wiimote/Nunchuck to use USB?

Reader Cameron sent in a couple screenshots from the Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz video we posted earlier. He noticed something going on with the Nunchuck controller’s attachment. Have a look below. Click the thumbs to enlarge.

Is that a USB attachement on the Nunchuck controller cord? Honestly I cannot tell, which is why I am posting the story. You guys are much better at figuring this out. If it is a USB connection, then that may be the secret to charging the Wiimote…if they charge at all! A solution other than buying batteries is an extremely important issue to me…and if Nintendo is secretly planning a rechargeable Wiimote via USB, then I will be one happy man.
