Dear Reader:
What do you want from the next Zelda?
That is a question that I find hard to answer, but somehow Nintendo always manages to deliver. The next Zelda should be a very big deal for the franchise. Even Miyamoto has said that it’s time for a change, he recognizes that the series is in-need of some fresh ideas. Where on earth do you take Zelda from here, retain the classic feeling, and tread new ground? Glad I’m not in the position.
The one thing I can say that I want is MotionPlus control. 1:1 sword fights could open up the Zelda series to an all-new realm. Can you imagine actually having to fight Ganon based on skills of true sword fighting, instead of canned animations? I am willing to be put to the test. Take that 1:1 motion and adapt it to all of Link’s items, as well. 1:1 boomerang (with some restrictions, of course), mirror shield, and so much more. This MotionPlus accessory could be very, very good to Zelda fans.
