The average consumer knows what to expect of Wii graphics

…Who is pushing this graphics and tech thing anyway? Isn’t it just the people who want to sell tech? I don’t think it’s the average consumer. The average consumer doesn’t complain about the graphics on the Wii, because they know what to expect, and understand the approach. While the tech of the PS3 and 360 can make streaming and seamless worlds much easier, a lot of this can be done to users’ satisfaction on the lower-end. - Game Developer magazine, piece written by Brandon Sheffield

Honestly, the only time I get mad at Wii devs and their approach to graphics is when they obviously don’t try. I think No More Heroes looks fantastic, as does Wario Land: Shake It!. Artistic approach can have a lot to do with how I enjoy my games. Twilight Princess was nothing special in the graphical department, but that did absolutely nothing to detract from my enjoyment of the title.

The discussion is all about old-tech and new-tech, and it’s causing quite a stir.
