Could MadWorld kill the Wii?

There’s no shortage of controversy following MadWorld, and we aren’t even near the game’s launch. Hell, we don’t even have a trailer that has been rated by the ESRB. The more we learn about the game, the more activists will voice their concern. Things will undoubtedly get worse before they get better. But…just how bad can things get?

Could there be enough negative press around MadWorld to actually hurt the Wii? Could it change the perception people have of Nintendo’s platform? Let’s face it, a ton of Wii owners don’t know the industry like we do. They see MadWorld, and they think that Nintendo is making it. I can hear them getting steamed right now…not understanding why Nintendo would take such a violent turn with the system.

Could MadWorld actually kill the Wii? I think that’s taking things a little too far…but I don’t doubt that it can be left with quite a nasty scar.
