Reader Klind sent me a list of bullet point impressions from time spent with the Wii at the Fusion Tour. This is quite a long list, and keep in mind that a lot of it is opinion based. For instance, the first point made is about the blue light on the Wii. I can confirm that at all Wii events I attended, the Wii light was on the entire time. Hardware/software are not final versions either. Having said that, check out the impressions below.

Biggest thing: The Blue light special on the disc slot the Wii console wasn’t on at all, which leads me to believe that it won’t be in the final console either.

-The B “trigger” is mostly a button.

- Warioware is my game of the show.

-Tony Hawk crashed twice when I was playing. The console had to be taken apart at the bar, and I opened the flap. The console didn’t go back up for the rest of the show.

-Tony Hawk vs. Excitetruck= Excitetruck.

- Wii sports bowling sucks. Boxing is sweet. Tennis was sweet. Baseball was the best.

- Golf wasn’t playable, but I hit quit on the pause menu. I selected Golf when the rep wasn’t looking. I played half a hole when she kicked me off. it’s fun.

- Nunchuk is light.

- Metroid had a 2 hour wait. (it’s the only one I didn’t play… sad.gif )

- Tony Hawk felt cheap.

- The Wii Shooter demo is hard.

- The Black and Pink DS lites still have the retail stylus in them. Steal them.

- I have Wii guitar picks and stickers.

- There is an odd thing on the back of the kiosk (not the same as we’ve seen pics of) called ‘TattleTail’. No idea.

- Excitetruck is pretty amazing.

- I got to box a female nintendo rep. She won.

- The console doesn’t have the blue light on. The console doesn’t have the blue light on. The console doesn’t have the blue light on. The console doesn’t have the blue light on. - The graphics were all jaggy, and I didn’t say wow (except Met, and Excitetruck.)

-My Mii character’s (premade) head disappeared in Baseball.

- The 3d projector was sweet.

- I hit the power button on the controller and it only turned off the controller.

-The controllers were running on AA batteries. They died while I was playing Tony Hawk…

-The sensor bar is tiny.

- 1 Wii actually fell off of it’s stand (crashing Tony for the second time).

- I got hit in the head while playing Tennis (it was next to boxing). Ouch.

- Controller is just right size. “A” button is tiny.

- Wii Sports used the speaker! ( I listened close)

- The Rumble is weak.

- + =pause - =crash tony hawk the first time.

- The Home button was hard to push. Nothing happened.

-Wiimote is shiny on top textured on botton.

- They were giving away a Wii signed by the bands (not sure if the person got it then or not).

- Free Stride Gum at the door.

- DS Games= Mvs.DK2, FFIII, EBA, Starfox, NSMB, Clubhouse games, Mario hoops, lego star wars 2, etc.

- Wii games= Tennis, Bowling, Baseball, Boxing, Metroid, Pointer demo, Tony Hawk (DANGER), Warioware, and Excitetruck.

- They had screens looping Wii trailers.

- people would lay down their drinks while waiting in line. I acidentally knocked over a full beer of a huge guy, and I ran.
