VideoGamer99's Fusion Tour Wii impressions

I guess it was a mistake not going to a Fusion Tour stop just to check out the Wii!

It has to have been the greatest thing ever. To start, I walked in and it looked like a mini-E3 Nintendo booth. There were 8 booths. Each had a at least one controller (one had a controller and nunchuck, some had two controllers, and one had two controllers and two nunchucks). There was one booth for Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (one controler one nunchuck), one for Wii Sports Bowling (two controlelrs), one for Wii Baseball (two controller), one for Wii tennis (two controllers), one for wii Boxing (Two Controllers, Two nunchucks), two for Excite Truck (one controller each) and finally, one for WarioWare Smooth Moves(one controler).I was overly excited. They had some DS games available to play but I decided to spend all my time on Wii.

Just hours ago I played my first Wii game. It was Excite Truck. The game had some amazing jumps and it had great graphics. I played a forest type level. It was great. I had four laps, lots of trees(evil trees that stopped me multiple times), and it was extremely sensitive. It is a lot more sensitive in the air. When I was on the ground, I felt the rumble, I used the boost, and more than anything else. I had fun. The game was great. I got used to it in seconds. The game was amazing.

Next I played Wii Bowling. To start, the game controls can be changed for right or left handed people. They had to change it for us. I started playing and it was easy. I pressed up on the d-pad and I was able to aim better. I moved the characterback and forth, then I turned him back and forth, then I did the swinging motion and got a strike. It was easy, simple, and fun.

Lastly, just before the closed the Wii demos down, I got to play Wario Ware Smooth Moves. The game is also fun. I played multiple games including me jumping rope, doing a squat thrust, balancing a guy on a ball, putting dentures in an old ladies mouth, playing the fishing game on Animal Crossing, and aboss battle that had me driving a car on a road, avoiding cows, monkeys, and trees. It was a great game and seemed to be very polished and fun.

Overall, I give the Wii a 10/10. It is perfect. The controller just feels perfect in the curves of your hand. The games all played great and it is gonna be amazing.

The tour itself got a 8/10. I was only able to play the Wii for three hours (partly my fault for being late, but they had to stop for that main band group. Something heights). The other problem was the entire Metoird Prime 3 display. The line was too long for most people to play, the demo lasted 10-15 minutes (except the Ridley battle), and the unit actually stopped working in the middle of the show. They were also playing music that I really hate, but I still think that my $22 was still worth it. I played three Wii games so it cost me about $7.33 to play each game. It was worth every penny. My verdict is to go to the tour as early as possible. Be first person there, play Metroid Prime 3: Corruption first, and then go to as much as you can. It is worth the entrance fee. Go there. Now!
