RUMOR - Chrono Trigger import: multiple pirate checks, English option

Chrono Trigger is going to be a big release on the DS. The title should do very well in both Japan and North America. With that said, it makes the game a prime target for pirates. Word is coming in that the Japanese version of Chrono Trigger DS goes through multiple checks to see if it has been pirated or not. The first instance when you go back in time, and the first dungeon are both met with pirate checks…and there are more as you continue on.

Also, we hear that the Japanese version has an English language option. If this is true, importers will no-doubt jump on this opportunity. I might have to be one of them! Huge thanks to everyone that sent this info our way.
