RUMOR - Is Tesuya Mizuguchi's 'QJ' the sequel to Rez?

I couldn’t be any more excited for Tesuya Mizuguchi’s ‘QJ’. Rez is one of my all-time favorite games, and the music genre has long been a passion of mine. No matter what Mizuguchi is working on, I am sure it will be fantastic. If the latest rumor is to be believed, we may be getting a sequel to one of the most renowned music games…ever.

This rumor comes from the always-hopping rumor section of EGM. According to Quartermann, QJ could very well be the spiritual successor of Rez. That means more pumping techno, more shooting, and more subtext. Why not just call the game Rez 2? Atari is publishing QJ, but they don’t own the rights to the ‘Rez’ name…that rests with Sega.

Whether this is Rez 2 or something else, I can’t hide my excitement. With that said…please let this be Rez 2!
