Sunsoft steps back into the gaming scene

Do you guys remember Sunsoft? Were you around when they were actually putting out games? For some reason, I always remember Sunsoft through Blaster Master. I just love that game so much…even the boxart. I guess that’s why any Blaster Master memory goes hand-in-hand with Sunsoft.

For reasons unbeknownst to me, Sunsoft disappeared off the face of the earth. It sure took them long enough, but now they are back to gaming…thanks to the Wii. While classic titles are hitting the VC, Sunsoft is also putting out Princess Ai. That’s the manga WiiWare project we talked about last week. On top of that, Sunsoft is also re-releasing classic titles such as Minna de Taisen Puzzle.

Will this be Sunsoft’s return to glory, or is this just another flash in the pan? Either way, I’m happy to see them back in action. Now Sunsoft…get back with Fanky and make us another Blaster Master!
