TimeSplitters 4 future doubtful, but significant outside interest from other companies may save Free Radical

“They had already started working on TimeSplitters 4, and had been for over a year, but due to the failure of Haze and the deal falling through with Lucas, they couldn’t get a publisher to back them. They had a last ditch attempt last week down South somewhere, but it came to nothing so I think that was the last hope.” - inside source

So…the failure of Haze and the lack of a publisher for TimeSplitters 4 helped lead to the demise of Free Radical. Well…the near demise, if ReSolve (appointed administrator of Free Radical) is to be believed. It looks like the curtain may not have closed on Free Radical just yet.

“We are very confident that we will achieve a sale if we decide to market the business. It’s a testament to the employees and the regard of the company that a significant interest has already been shown.” - ReSolve

It’s going to be interesting to see what happens with Free Radical. Even if there is a purchase, key players at Free Radical may no longer be involved. Steve Ellis and David Doak have started up another company, Pumpkin Beach, and are staffing it with select Free Radical employees.
