Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom - the characters that were considered for the roster, but never made it + sequel talk
The producer of Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom has put out a list of characters from both sides of the game that didn’t make it into the final roster. They were considered, but decided to cut them out due to licensing/copyright/balancing/preference issues.
Tatsunoko Side:

The producer also states that he would love to work on a sequel to Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom, but he’d also love to see the current title do a bit better in the sales department.
