Pub Company continues to deny Wii Qube, Relax as April Fools' jokes

Pub Company is the group behind Wii Qube and Wii Relax, two items that look like elaborate April Fools’ jokes. The only thing is, we’ve been hearing about these items for weeks now. Today, the company went through the trouble of releasing not one, but two press releases that state that their creations are not April Fools’ jokes.

Milan – 1st April ’09 – The announcement made at the Game Connection in San Francisco which has caused both a sensation and great expectations around the new generation of videogames which, with its abbreviation “iii™” or “3i™” (Immersive Individual Interaction), promises a revolution in the gaming world.

The curiosity of those working in the sector and end-users towards Qube ™ and Relax™ is concentrated on the game concept, player interaction and the peripherals used in gameplay.

All of the most famous international video game player communities (numerous mentions in all of the forums that picked up this news) were highly surprised by the news. However, the clamor caused by the new generation of 3i™ games was such that there were those who, following the launch, even cried “fake” o “April Fools’!”. With regard to Qube™, players interact using “Body control™” which allows them to play inside the game thus interacting with their own body. Relax™ makes use of the “Mind Controller™” which, for the first time ever, allows them to play and control through the use of their own brain waves.

Pub Company® declares that the videos relating to Qube™ and Relax™ circulating in Internet are non-official and non-representative and hereby communicates that a first official project presentation will take place in London in May.
