We don’t get new hardware launches too often, so celebrate the day! Sure, it may be a DS refresh, but the DSi comes with big changes. Get out, pick one up, and be happy with your purchase! I know there are a few of you that were dreaming about the DSi launch, so I’m going to head to bed and do the same! Talk to you all in a few, short hours.

I’m trying to stay with a DSi focus since the platform has officially released in North America today. I’m sure some of you grabbed the system at a midnight launch, while others will be picking up theirs in just a few hours. I hope that many of you get to spend the rest of the weekend enjoying your new purchase! Perhaps someday soon North Americans will get to enjoy Mr. Driller DSiWare. Consider this just one reason to look forward to a possible release.

I’m not really that big into Mr. Driller. I just haven’t really picked up any of the other entries in the series. That all changed when Mr. Driller DSiWare came out in Japan. I thought I’d give the game a try and see what I thought. I’m really happy that I finally decided to give the series a chance. Not only is the game a lot of fun, but the music is absolutely fantastic. I don’t know if the tune below is a staple from the franchise, but either way it’s really great. I’m especially impressed with the quality of the work when you consider the tiny space it had to be squeeze into.

Please, check out one of the standout tracks below. I’m always trying to push the significance of game music, and the track I’m sharing with you is just another reason why this sector of the game industry deserves to be better recognized.
