A double dose of gaming as fun

This is what’s wrong with the game industry. Too many developers simply don’t care about video games as fun. They are more worried about making a soldier’s helmet shiny, or adding in 50 dialog options for NPC #2425. What ever happened to making games that were fun? It seems to be an art that the developer has either forgotten, or simply doesn’t care about. Bigger is better, more graphic fidelity equals more engaging experience. If that’s the road the industry is taking, count me out.
