The good people at Swiatn emailed me with an exclusive they managed to grab from Nibris. The team is working on another title for the DS/Wii called Double Pang. The game is a new version of Pang, which has been around for awhile. For those of you who don’t know what Pang is, take a look at the wiki excerpt below.

Pang (also known as Pang!, Pomping World in Japan and Buster Bros in the USA) is a one or two player arcade game designed by Mitchell Corporation and released in 1989. Subsequent conversions for home systems were produced by Ocean Software in 1990 for the ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC, Commodore Amiga and Atari ST.

The aim of the game is to progress through 16 countries, each divided into three levels and destroy a series of balloons with a harpoon gun. When shot, these balloons progressively divide into two. The smallest bubbles disappear when shot. Power-ups in the game include a double harpoon (which allows two harpoons to be shot simultaneously), a vulcan missile (which allows repeated fire), and a “freeze time” clock (which makes the balloons freeze). Fruit offers points.

Nibris is planning to release Double Pang for the DS in April, and the Wii version in September. You can check out some assets from the DS version below.

On top of that, I have a ton of reviews I am working on…lots to game play to catch up due to last weeks events. Expect a bunch of reviews by the end of the week. Have a great Tuesday morning guys, I will be back once I wake up. Make sure to check out our new contest post below! (Winner of our “So good it’s scary” contest will be announced this weekend)
