Reggie's Interactive Entertainment Conference speech
I just got finished listening to Reggie’s speech at IEC, which we posted on yesterday. There were a couple new bits of info, but nothing much. Most of the speech talked about how well the DS is doing, and how it is bringing in new gamers. A lot of sales data, that sort of stuff. The new info though, I will post below.
Reggie confirmed that he will be at the Toys ‘R’ Us “Midnight Madness” Wii launch in New York City
A new Wii “commercial” was shown off that lasted for about a minute. I could not view the commercial, only listen to the audio.
A mention of Metroid, and Smash Bros. was made when discussing future Virtual Console releases
A slide was shown that featured what looks to be the sleeve Wii Sports will come in when the Wii launches
That was about it. Nothing super amazing, but it was nice to hear Reggie so enthusiastic so close to the Wii launch.
