Here's a theme in video games that you might not have picked up on. It seems that dads are becoming a focus for main characters in the games of today. Could we be possibly moving away from the steroid-infused hero or bald space marine stereotypes? I don't know about you, but I find a father main character a lot more interesting than those other 'classic' characters. A father has some real motivation in his actions.
"We think that EA management is being abundantly cautious about [fiscal 2011], after having been burned by an overly optimistic forecast last year. They were not the only ones who estimated robust results for last year, only to be proven dramatically wrong. We, too, thought that last year would result in solid industry growth, and we, too, were wrong. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, each time hoping for a different result. This time, while we are again hoping for a different result, we see evidence that the company is not doing the samethings over and over again: lower headcount, fewer facilities, fewer games, and a growing digital business. This time, we think that EA is on the right path." - Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter
Michael Pachter has sure changed his tune since the last financial call. He seemed truly fed up with EA management, but now he feels like the bigwigs are changing their tune. Going from overly optimistic to overly cautious is certainly a big change.
In order to introduce a change to the censorship legislation all Attorneys-General must be in agreement, and at present the South Australian Attorney-General, Michael Atkinson, is opposed to the change. No amount of evidence or reason is going to change his mind, and so I believe the only solution to this problem is to remove him from office… - Conor O’Kane
It really does seem upsetting when a person in charge of so much power doesn't want to listen to any voice of reason. I don't know what Australian gamers are going to do.

The speculation continues on, with Pokemon fans feverishly debating just who that silhouette represents. I'm not nearly Pokemon educated enough to hedge a bet, but I'm thinking that at least one of the most common predictions has to be right. Quick, state your prediction while there's still time left!
A portion of a Nintendo Life review...
Delivering a linear, overly simplistic puzzle game with a minimal level of presentation and no multiplayer doesn't cut it on the Wii — especially given the ridiculous difficulty curve in the level design. If you've got a balloon popping fetish you'll probably love it, but fans of quality puzzle games have a large selection of far better games at the same price point to choose from.
