Digital Distribution

We’ve got some great news regarding the distribution of all of our digital rewards: we’re excited to announce that we’ve partnered with the most humble crew around—that’s right, the HUMBLE STORE (part of the Humble Bundle team) will be handling the direct distribution of the Armikrog game and all of the digital rewards!

Why the Humble Store? Great question!

• The Humble Store has already been doing an amazing job taking care of all the post-Kickstarter donation orders at Armikrog.com, so having them distribute all of the Kickstarter digital rewards is a perfect fit.

• Distributing games and digital content is what they do! That means while they’re providing their amazing services to you (our 18,000+ backers)…we can keep our focus on creating the game!

• The Humble Store provides the ease and convenience of downloading everything from one place! They will provide you with all of your digital content, DRM-free game downloads, Steam keys and Wii U keys. Now THAT’S convenient!

• Everyone at Humble Bundle is just plain awesome!

DRM-free, Steam and Wii U versions

We’ve had a some questions about how distribution will work for the different versions of the game, so here’s a quick breakdown: through the Humble Store, each backer will be able to select one of two download choices—“DRM-free+Steam key” OR “Wii U”.

1. DRM-free+Steam Key – by selecting this option, you will be able to download the PC, Mac and Linux versions of the game, DRM-free or through Steam. You will not receive a Wii U version.

2. Wii U – by selecting this option, you will receive a Wii U key and will be able to download the game from the Nintendo eShop. You will not receive DRM-free or Steam access.

Why are we doing it this way? The reason why you will have to choose between the two options is because we have to pay for every Wii U key that is distributed. This is a cost that would add up quickly if we gave a Wii U key to every backer! By giving Wii U access only to those who specifically choose it, this will help manage our cost of the keys.

Thanks to Stunt_Duck for the heads up!
