June1st 2015, Tokyo— Grasshopper Manufacture Inc. and PIE International Inc. jointly announce the global publication of The Art of Grasshopper Manufacture: The Complete Collection of SUDA51. This deluxe full-color edition is the world’s first-and-only collection of artwork from the famous Japanese video game developer SUDA51(Goichi Suda).

SUDA51’s gaming company Grasshopper Manufacture, established in 1998, is responsible for popular games such as Lollipop Chainsaw, Killer 7, and No More Heroes. The artwork that comprises the foundation of the 22 video games they’ve produced over the years, including the upcoming title LET IT DIE, is brilliantly showcased in this 224 page volume.

In addition to character drawings, sketches, background art, logo design, and rare, never-before-seen artwork, SUDA51 offers personal insights throughout the book. He describes the concept and development of each game, dynamics within the gaming industry, and he provides honest and candid comments on feedback from his fans.

“Creeping up on almost two decades of game crafting and on the verge of releasing a new game titled LET IT DIE, now is the perfect time to overview our projects. Art design has always been at the core of our development, so it naturally shows up in the blueprints of each game we make,” SUDA51 commented on his new book.

The Art of Grasshopper Manufacture will make its official debut at Comic-Con International in San Diego, July 9th through 13th. SUDA51 will be available for questions during his panel presentation on Sunday, July 12th,1:30 pm, in Room 8, and will meet with fans during his book signing at the booth of Last Gasp, the American distributor of The Art of Grasshopper Manufacture.
