Microsoft 'completely discounted Nintendo' prior to Wii launch due to GameCube slow sales
Coming from an IGN interview with former Microsoft executive Peter Moore...
- saw GameCube as such “a disaster” that they didn’t believe that Nintendo would pose a threat
- Microsoft 'completely discounted Nintendo'
Because of that, Microsoft was in for a rough ride up against the Wii. The same thing happened to Sony as well. If you wonder why so many people in recent years have said not to discount Nintendo, this is why!
