1) Nintendo gets serious about diversification. They announced new Articles Of Incorporation today, to set themselves up for new businesses.

2) The new businesses are: medical and health devices, "computer software", managing/investing in "eating establishments", IP licensing.

3) They don't give details about what any of this means, but the currently dormant "quality of life" business or theme park come to mind.

4) The new articles are scheduled to go into effect on June 29, the date of Nintendo's 76th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders. /end

Nintendo has been saying for months now that they're looking to expand their IP reach and try some new things. This is just more proof of that, and it also goes to show some of the directions Nintendo is planning to branch into.
