Super Mario Maker for 3DS users sharing user-created levels over the internet, thanks to HomePass

Nintendo may not want you to share your Super Mario Maker for 3DS levels over the internet, but that hasn't stopped fans from making it possible. They're using a workaround called HomePass, which allows for the following.

If two people connect to the same ssid and mac address (within a certain amount of time maybe even?) they should initiate a streetpass connection enabling trading of levels through the internet.

In other words, you'll be able to connect to someone else around the world, but your 3DS thinks you're doing a StreetPass interaction. Obviously there's some setup there that needs to go on and you shouldn't do it with strangers, but still a novel idea!
