Thumper co-creator says Nintendo was very interested in the game due to HD Rumble
The following comes from a Gamasutra video feature with Thumper co-creator Marc Flury...
- when Thumper was being shown off in Japan on other platforms, Nintendo execs approached Flury
- they asked if the game would work well on their new prototype controls
- this was in reference to the HD Rumble
- Flury compares Thumper’s new controls with the idea of using them the way you would sound effects
