Grant Kirkhope originally had no idea he was working on a Mario game with Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle

Grant Kirkhope is the composer on Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, but when he first signed on for the project, he had no idea he'd be scoring a Mario game. Kirkhope originally signed with Ubisoft under the impression that he was working on a Rabbids game. He didn't know Mario was involved until he met up with the team in Paris and actually saw the game for the first time. Ubisoft says this was actually was an accident, and they weren't trying to keep a secret from Kirkhope. They had simply forgotten to tell him!
