Switch piracy subreddit banned following Zelda leak
Nintendo ninjas strike again
Nintendo has been on a tear lately (pun slightly intended!) with their fight against piracy. Nintendo has always taken piracy seriously, but they really turned things up to 11 following the leak of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. They’ve set out to bring numerous software pirates to justice in the last few weeks, and now their efforts have squashed a subreddit.
A Nintendo Switch piracy subreddit had been operating somewhat in the dark for years now, but Nintendo and Reddit have shined a spotlight on it following the leak of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. That subreddit has now been banned, which means its roughly 70k members will have to take their nefarious actions elsewhere on the internet.
This subreddit in particular was providing users with links to download the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom leak, along with tips on how to get it emulated properly. Even members of the subreddit knew their time was coming with such brazen actions, and now the subreddit has been sunset. The only thing we don’t know is if Reddit acted on their own in closing the subreddit, or they did so at the behest of Nintendo.

10M agoAnyone seriously upset about this actions is out of their gourd. People like to hound Nintendo, and they do have a tendency to be too heavy handed with content creators, this is how businesses operate people. Grow up, you're stealing from them, no shit they want to stop it.
