The live-action Knuckles spin-off series is scheduled to premiere on Paramount+ on April 26, 2024, which means the actors tied to the project are currently doing their press junkets. Idris Elba, the voice of Knuckles, is at the forefront of those interviews, and he’s got a ton of insight to share.

While we’ve already heard quite a bit from Elba on the Knuckles TV series, we also know that Elba is going to be taking on the role once again for Sonic the Hedgehog 3. While Elba isn’t able to share full details on the movie, he did share a bit of hype for it in an interview with Collider.

I can tease nothing. No, seriously. I don’t even know what’s gonna happen in it. No, I’m joking. I can tell you that it’s super exciting. I can tell you that it really does get deeper into the universe of Sonic. I think 3 ’s probably the one for all the real diehard Sonic fans . They’re gonna get all of those Easter eggs in it.

Each episode of Knuckles will be roughly one hour, giving fans of the echidna plenty to dive into. It’ll no doubt be interesting to see how this series leaves things as we lead into Sonic the Hedgehog 3, which is set to arrive Dec. 20th, 2024.
