Official Mother 3 plush set on the way

The Earthbound franchise was one-entry deep outside of Japan for a very long time. For literally decades, those in Europe and North America were left with just the SNES release of Earthbound, but we eventually got the Famicom outing through the Wii U Virtual Console in 2022, when the title was renamed Earthbound Beginnings. Now, all that’s left is for Mother 3 to get the same treatment.

While Mother 3 may have no clear path to localization right now, that doesn’t mean fans aren’t familiar with the game. Many have come to know the characters and settings through references and inclusions in the Smash Bros. series, so there’s no-doubt some Mother 3 diehards outside of Japan. Those of you who fall into that category will be very happy to know that a new set of Mother 3 merch is just around the corner.

There have been various Earthbound plush releases over the years, and that line is set to expand with a quartet of Mother 3 plushes. The lineup, which features Lucas, Claus, Kumatora, and Duster, is set to release in Japan come April 25th, 2024.
