Coming from David Gibson, a Tokyo-based analyst at Macquarie...
“The 3DS will hang around for a few years because of the big install base, but ultimately the goal is for the Switch to become their one and only platform for hardware. It’s part of the biggest evolution to the company in three decades.”
Gibson says Nintendo is ending the usual one-two punch of portables and consoles with Switch. Let's see if they can make the Switch their biggest system yet!
Art books are my go-to for preorders. I always love getting a look at the work the art team put into a game. I'm amazed at how some of this stuff gets translated from pen and paper into a game.
I feel like Miitopia is going to get lost in the shuffle. Splatoon 2 is going to draw a lot of attention, and Hey! Pikmin will also be making some noise with Nintendo fans. Poor Miitopia doesn't seem like it stands a chance.
We're in the middle of preparing all the things that we need for Gamescom in August. Let's see... We're going to have a demo which will run on Nintendo Switch ..aand we're going to need updated screenshots for press members. We already picked 13 screens and have a hard time picking the 5 best.
Here's a random note for you. I've known Ashlie for a number of years now. I got to know her through her position at Nintendo NY, and it's always a blast to see her. She's such a lovely and down-to-earth person. Plus she loves Nintendo...if you couldn't tell!

We heard the relase date for Kid Tripp was coming soon, and that was indeed true! Can't wait to check this one out. I'm in need of a platformer fix.
