The Top Ten Most Attractive Male And Female Video Game Characters Revealed

· A new poll from a money saving website in the UK has revealed the top 10 most attractive male and female video game characters.
· Iconic character Lara Croft tops the female list, with Tifa Lockheart of Final Fantasy fame and Joanna Dark of the Perfect Dark series in second and third respectively.
· Nathan Drake of Uncharted was the ladies' number one, followed by Metal Gear Solid's Solid Snake and Resident Evil's Chris Redfield.

In the wake of the recent Tomb Raider release and with a marked upsurge in onsite searches for the term 'Lara Croft', money saving website www.VoucherCodesPro.co.uk surveyed 1,240 male UK gamers in order to determine who they believed to be the most attractive female video game character of all time.

The study asked respondents 'From your gaming experience who do you consider to be the sexiest female video game character?' and allowed them to choose from a list of options with photos, which revealed the following results. They were allowed to select more than one answer.

1. Lara Croft (Tomb Raider) - 72%
2. Tifa Lockhart (Final Fantasy) - 44%
3. Joanna Dark (Perfect Dark) - 41%
4. Sophitia Alexandra (Soul Caliber) - 37%
5. Jill Valentine (Resident Evil) - 32%
6. Chloe Frazer (Uncharted) - 30%
7. Meryl Silverburgh (Metal Gear Solid) - 28%
8. Morrigen Aensland (Dark Stalkers series) - 27%
9. Rubi Malone (WET) - 24%
10. Princess Peach (Super Mario Bros) - 18%

The study didn't stop at female fantasy characters, as the site also polled 994 female gamers to see who they believed were the most attractive male videogame characters. The survey revealed the following top 10:

1. Nathan Drake (Uncharted) - 63%
2. Solid Snake (Metal Gear Solid) - 52%
3. Chris Redfield (Resident Evil) - 50%
4. Ezio Auditore (Assassins Creed) - 47%
5. John Marston (Red Dead Redemption) - 38%
6. Squall Leonhart (Final Fantasy) - 34%
7. Leon Kennedy (Resident Evil) - 30%
8. Dante (Devil May Cry) - 29%
9. Cloud Strife (Final Fantasy) - 27%
10. Jason Brody (Far Cry 3) - 19%

George Charles of www.VoucherCodesPro.co.uk made the following comment:

"Unsurprisingly Lara Croft is the overwhelming favourite with the males in our poll. She's the iconic figurehead of female video game characters so it was a fair bet she'd come out on top. But some of the other characters on the list are a little more surprising."

He continued:

"Princess Peach at number 10 was met with a few raised eyebrows in our office due to her cutesy image. And it seems that some of our users have held a candle for Tifa Lockheart for a number of years! Personally, I was always a big fan of Ayame out of the Tenchu series and am disappointed not to see her make the list. And whilst Meryl Silverburgh has made an appearance I was more of a Sniper Wolf man myself. As for the ladies’ choice, I couldn't possibly pass judgement!"
