Nintendo eShop Payments Halted in Russia
The Russian eShop is currently stuck in "maintenance mode"
Users of the Nintendo eShop in Russia are currently unable to purchase new content. According to the Russian Nintendo website, this is a result of the payment service they use no longer processing payments in Russian rubles.
Due to the fact that the payment service used in Nintendo eShop has suspended the processing of payments in rubles, Nintendo eShop in Russia is temporarily placed into maintenance mode.
It sounds like this was not a deliberate decision on Nintendo’s part and they seem to be working towards a resolution. They promise to share updates as the situation develops.

1+ y agoThat's not cool, companies didn't do that to America when they started wars in the last decade yet they do that to Russia?! This will destroy the trust people have with services in general now that they have seen how easily your steam library can be frozen or you Netflix account blocked.
