Moving on to more positives, Pikachu has some great costumes. While Pikachu’s fur doesn’t change much aside from tints, he more than makes up for it with cool hats that reference various trainers throughout the series. They even managed to work in the heart tailed female Pikachu and fan favorite Pikachu Libre!

My only real complaint with the costumes is that in Smash 4 Pikachu had an alt that actually referenced its shiny coloration. For some reason, it’s very rare for the Pokémon fighters in Smash to have their shiny colors as an alt so it’s a shame that this was lost.
