Twitter is not meant for this extensive type of reporting. So tired of it... >_>

Yeah after a while I gave up on looking through it.

I somehow managed to read through the whole wall of broken text. In addition to just being hard to read, there were duplicate tweets, tweets out of order, questions missing, and pieces of answers missing. Ugh.

Haha I know, it's terribly assaulting to the senses. :P

Well, Ninty confirmed the Wii U is dead after Zelda BotW

GameCube was dead after Twilight Princess.

Which was also a multi-platform release.

Nintendo Directs will continue. I am happy to know this much so far. I don't expect any NX news tho.

Why does Miyamoto always say that he doesn't like the features and gimmicks from the competition, yet, he expect us to like his ideas and gimmicks? Kind of arrogant if you ask me...

It's called having an opinion/preferences.

Lord forbid he has any while simultaneously being a company head./s

I'm sure that there have been systems before that people at Sony and Microsoft haven't liked, yet no one is calling them out for it.

Hell, some of the guys behind Activision's teams directly called the Wii U game pad "crap".
Where's the brow-beating for them from all the nay-sayers saying that Miyamoto shouldn't have any preferences?

I'm not trying to be mean, here, mind.
I'm just saying; calling Miyamoto arrogant for having preferences in features is kind of the same thing as saying he shouldn't have any opinion that isn't sucking up to others.

I don't know which is worse, the layout of this story or the answers to the investors' questions (answers may have seemed dumber because of the twitter format though).

"I would also like a young director to be appointed."

Possibly the rudest thing I've ever read from one of the meetings... and that's saying something. These people are either clueless or monsters... or both.

Why are all the shareholders so dumb and clueless

It seems some shareholders were determined to show up and ask some inane questions.

Don't like the default Layout? Try this one(bits and pieces of the more, important stuff followed up by commentary):

the goal has been to expand the gaming population irregardless of age, gender, or experience.

Now, the focus is to increase the population exposed to Nintendo IPs.

How is THAT any different?

I want to protest the board of directors being all-male. Remember half of the market is female.

Noted. We understand your concern, yet you don't understand their culture. Besides, they've been catering to females plenty. Believe me. Would be nice to get a few first party titles maining females though, who aren't Samus.

I don't use a PC, and I'd like the opinions of those kinds of shareholders to be taken into account.

Do you have a Mac or Mobile device? If NO computer of any kind, it pegs the question exactly WHY is it you are a large shareholder.

focusing on VR, developing software for elders to exercise and prevent dementia, and other various types of efforts.

Sit down, Grandpah. . .
You're time has come and gone.

I would also like a young director to be appointed.

As long as they are competent, I see no problem.

We're watching the situation and making preparations.

We all are, but not necessarily in the same way you are. . .

In regards to [Iwata] Asks, I don't come from a game dev. background, so if I ask, it wouldn't be interesting.

About Iwata Asks, even he said, "It's gotten in a rut."

So, dead then?

I want to know how much effort the President is putting into Nintendo.

He's a Duck, so, NONE.

There was a change to the articles of corporation to add "manufacturing and sales of medical devices." Please explain.

Do explain.

This is related to QOL devices, but it was added in anticipation of future business expansion.

And By Expansion, you mean shift of focus?

At the time, we sold a game machine with the GamePad for 30,000 yen. However, we faced difficulty from other companies releasing many tablets at low prices.

Methinks Miyamoto Works better when under pressure.
That pretty much summed up why it failed, as what I knew was one of the major contributors to it's unsuccessfulness.

Normally we would've shown the #NX at #E3, but we didn't. We're worried about imitators if we release info too early.

Good call, least now they were directly forward about it.

I heard VR was a hot topic at #E3, so I went to check it out. It was on display, but it wasn't what I expected.

Did NOT meet Miyamoto's expectations. And that comes from someone whose company developed one of the first commercially available VR sets, many years ago. . .

We're also researching VR, so we have the core technology. Long play sessions are an issue. We want to release something that can be played for long periods, carries value, and is affordable. We want parents to feel at ease.

Again, they KNOW about the problems that come with VR, cause they have much experience in that field already. Pretty much what I've been saying for a while about the shortfalls of VR and it's obvious Cashgrab tactic(Might as well take your wallet as you put the headgear on, cause that's practically what they'VR companies' are doing and one looking goofy for wearing such a piece is just the icing).

A game is a hit in the domestic market if it reaches 300k sales, but we're targeting worldwide sales.

We now Know what the line Is. Thanks.
This will be important to remember for an upcoming game.

Miyamoto: Reviews on the Internet get around. Details get pointed out, so our staff is working more than is required.

I wonder if that includes(or if he meant to say) comments; comments carry more weight than actual reviews; reviews is just the venue. Need many more Shoes and Hats for Splatoon, also a couple more mini games, Squid Jump is stale.

I was following along on Twitter, but this is a nice recap. Thanks for the hard work to the reporter and translator; and RMC for putting it all together!
