Ever Oasis - "Chief" trailer

If memory serves me right, review embargo is up on this game this week. I've been gushing about it for two weeks straight on the podcast. Can't wait to put together my final thoughts and share how wonderful this game is!

Honestly RMC, I can't stop gushing about it either.
My first review copy for a game and it had to be this, I'm beyond excited.

However, I still feel that Nintendo haven't done the game justice when it comes to advertising, I've seen next to nothing about it from Nintendo's side and it has me worried this will end up being another Magical Starsign.

I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy the adventure in the desert part, I'm not sure about the village building thing though.
What are your thoughts on that?

Can't detail certain things as per NoE's list of whats on embargo and whatnot, but so far town building has been unobtrusive, if a little slow at the start due to the sheer amount of chatter there is explaining how it works., but that subsides quickly
I enjoyed seeing what I was going to get next, and building stores usually awarded me with something I felt was useful, but it will depend on your play-style obviously.
It's also a necessity to build the shops (upkeep and such of them is simple and again, unobtrusive) as they increase your Oasis Rank which progress' the story and unlocks further areas, story and stores.

Sorry if that's not too helpful, I have to be mindful of what I can and can't say, if you have a specific question, ask and I'll see if I can give you an answer.

Thanks a lot it's pretty much what I wanted to hear.
I'll make sure I check out your review when it's out !

I'm still not 100% sold on this game.
But I get the same vibe as from Fantasy Life back then.
Can't wait for the reviews to come out.

Really enjoyed the Demo and already pre-orderedthe Game. What I fear is, the Game might beo to exotic, especially for Western Gamers. From what I've heard, Fantasy Life wasn't a big hit in the US while it sold better in Europe (guess the Treehouse translation exclusively for the US Version was a big part many players never found the whole story to be appealing).

I wish Grezzo and especially Koichi Ishii the best of luck with Ever Oasis.

I never understood what Treehouse was thinking with Fantasy Life by stripping all text of any and all personality. They're fine with putting memes in games, but if they have to write anything resembling a character, they refuse. (Also reminds me of how they stripped a lot of meaning from Fire Emblem, though my knowledge of that is vague.)
For real, what was their reasoning behind this, I wonder? Because I can't think of a solid reason...

Yes it was a very strange decision and I was kinda surprised it differs so much from the EU-Versions. Even the UK Version is partly very different from the US Version. And these stupid Meme-References, Treehouse have to accept that this stuff are just short lived gags. If you play the Game in 5 years again, no one will remembers these references. Also, I'm glad this is no part of Nintendo of Europe's translations.

I'll definitely be picking this up (especially after reading/hearing so many positive things from people with review copies!)
